Hallway Chest of Drawers — Narrow Yet Spacious

A hallway chest of drawers follows one rule that doesn’t apply to other rooms: depth over 40 cm can become a hindrance. In a hallway, every ten centimeters of passage counts, which is why furniture for this area is designed to be shallower than that for living rooms.

How Much Space to Leave

After placing the chest of drawers, there should be a minimum of 80 cm of free passage. For narrower hallways, choose a model with a depth of 30–35 cm or a console table, which provides a surface without a full body.
