Lee Broom — British design where light becomes sculpture
Lee Broom is a London lighting brand founded in 2007. Since then, over a hundred lamps, furniture, and accessories have been created under its name—designed and produced in the UK and sold in over fifty countries.
Theater, Fashion, and Light
The character of the brand has grown from the meeting of theater and fashion. Broom began in drama school, won a design competition at the age of seventeen, and landed an internship with Vivienne Westwood, later studying at Central Saint Martins. This is why his lamps are so theatrical: each collection tells a story, and the brand's premieres take the form of surreal installations showcased during design weeks in Milan, London, and New York.
Classic Rewritten
At the heart of this aesthetic is a classic reimagined. Hand-cut crystal, Carrara marble, brass, and opal and blown glass come together in forms that are both familiar and surprising. The Crystal Bulb transforms an ordinary light bulb into a cut gem adorned like a whisky decanter. Eclipse recreates the moment of an eclipse. Orion builds geometric constellations from simple shapes. Fulcrum, Crescent, Chamber, and Hail play with light reflected from stone and glass.
Awards and Global Presence
The brand's legacy includes over thirty international awards, including the title of British Designer of the Year and the Queen's Award for Enterprise. Lee Broom's lamps illuminate private interiors, hotels, and restaurants around the world today, and the designer operates showrooms in London and New York.
