Each carpet has individual properties resulting from the type of fiber used and the method of production. Natural differences in shade, texture, or pile height are characteristic features of many products and highlight their unique character.

In the case of new carpets, especially those made of wool, there may be slight shedding in the first weeks of use. This is a natural process of releasing loose fibers and does not indicate a defect in the product.

Regular vacuuming

Systematic vacuuming is the most important element of carpet care. It removes dust, sand, and small debris that can cause gradual wear of the fibers.

Regularly vacuum the carpet using an attachment suitable for the type of pile.

For carpets with long pile, hand-woven, made of wool, viscose, or silk, it is recommended to avoid turbo brushes, which can damage delicate fibers.

Remove stains promptly

Spilled liquids and fresh stains should be removed immediately.

Gently blot excess liquid with a paper towel or a soft absorbent cloth, pressing it to the surface. Do not rub the stain, as this may cause it to penetrate deeper into the fibers.

If necessary, use a product intended for the specific type of material.

Choose appropriate cleaning agents

Use only cleaning agents designed for carpets and suitable for the type of fiber.

Always test a new product in an inconspicuous area before use.

When cleaning, avoid excessive soaking of the carpet, as too much water can lead to fiber damage or distortion of the backing.

What to avoid?

Do not use:

• bleaches,
• chlorine,
• solvents,
• aggressive detergents,
• abrasive cleaners,
• hard-bristled brushes,
• steam cleaners, if not recommended by the manufacturer.

They can cause discoloration, distortion of the pile, or damage to the fiber structure.

Protect against deformation

Heavy furniture can cause permanent indentations in the pile.

If possible, periodically change the arrangement of furniture or gently lift the fibers with a soft brush to restore their natural appearance.

It is also worth rotating the carpet 180° every few months to ensure even wear and reduce color fading.

Limit sun exposure

Prolonged exposure to intense UV radiation can cause gradual fading of colors.

If the carpet is in a heavily sunlit area, it is advisable to use blinds, curtains, or regularly change its position.

Professional cleaning

Depending on the intensity of use, it is advisable to periodically arrange for professional cleaning of the carpet.

This allows for the removal of dirt deep within the fibers and refreshes the appearance of the material without the risk of damage.

Carpets made of silk, viscose, and handwoven models should be cleaned exclusively by specialized companies.

Care for different types of carpets

Wool carpets

Wool is a naturally durable and resilient material. During the initial period of use, it may shed slightly, which is a normal phenomenon.

Cotton carpets

Cotton is easy to care for on a daily basis and works well in low-traffic areas.

Jute carpets

Jute is a natural fiber with a distinctive texture. It should not be excessively soaked or cleaned with large amounts of water.

Viscose carpets

Viscose is distinguished by its elegant sheen and softness, but it is more sensitive to moisture and intense friction.

Silk carpets

Silk requires exceptionally delicate care. Professional cleaning is recommended, and intense use should be avoided.

Synthetic fiber carpets

Modern synthetic fibers are resistant to everyday use and easy to maintain. Regular vacuuming and prompt stain removal help keep their aesthetic appearance for a long time.
