Veneer furniture is covered with a thin layer of real hard wood. Veneers are often used in high -class furniture and can be more expensive than solid wood. In the mid -twentieth century, it became particularly popular in interiors, when teak wood was often used for the production of Danish designer furniture.
To fully enjoy wooden veneer furniture, you must follow a few basic rules:
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight as well as excessive heat and moisture.
Be careful not to leave a wet ring on the surface after watering flowers or plants.
Do not expose furniture to scratches by pets or sharp objects.
Use pads and place felt pads under lamp bases and accessories.
Wooden veneer requires gentle care to keep the finish. Regularly vacuum and clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Spilled liquids should be removed immediately, because moisture can cause veneer to peel off the surface. Prevent moisture from entering the veneer, quickly and thoroughly removing all spilled liquids. In case of water rings appear, wipe the place with kerosene. Then apply oil or petroleum jelly to completely remove the trail.
